One year after the initial training (check the initial training card), the employee should undergo the first periodic safety and health training. This period is shorter only for employers and those in charge of employees, and is six months from the start of work. Recalling OSH rules is therefore a legal obligation, and an employee’s initial training on the job is not everything.
The validity of periodic health and safety training is strictly related to the job occupied by the employee:
- engineering and technical staff – every 5 years,
- occupational health and safety employees and persons performing the tasks of this service – every 5 years,
- administrative and office employees – every 6 years,
- blue-collar workers – every 3 years,
- employees working in particularly hazardous positions (e.g. work in pits, tanks) – every 1 year,
- employers and other persons managing employees – every 5 years,
- employees whose nature of work involves exposure to factors that are harmful to health, arduous or dangerous or responsibility in the field of health and safety – every 5 years.
